As far as a non passé blanc President of the USA, the population of the country at this time doesn't seem to support it happening.

There have been and are great Black Leaders through out the world. The possibility of an appointed Black leader in a predominantly Anglo population is not very likely. I think the first Black President of the USA would have to be an actor. If Denzel Washington got into politics and ran for President I think he would get quite a lot of support. Hey, it worked for Reagan!

There will be eventually. When the candidate is good enough. I will never vote for someone based on race or gender just so there will be a first. They have to prove themselves. Unfortunately most politcians are crooked liars anyways so I guess it doesn't really matter. I do wish Condoleeza would run though. She is a smart strong woman. And from what I can tell...honest. Too bad she doesn't want to run. Not only would she do a great job...but there would be two firsts.

There was a black conservative political president on the Show 24 who was accepted by the audience as being plausible. The white liberal president on the network show was not plausible. Never going back there to that time in history, J. Carter is over

Logic suggests that in any predominantly white state, it will only be a matter of time before a black person becomes President or Prime Minister, even allowing for any socio-economic disadvantages.

I don't think it matters.

Hopefully people will always vote depending on the parties pollitics and values, the colour of the skin doesn't matter.

Unlike the US, we've had a woman, good old Maggie, so no doubt there will be eventually.
