Because they are too lazy to figure out there own questions. And also I think all the "stupid" questions that is asked on this site are real questions that these people really don't know. And that is a sad sad thought...

Some people are plain clueless, others like to hear themselves talk, some like to point out the obvious. It's who you are in order to ask the stupid question, like "Is the sky blue?" Of course it is.

Truly a question is not stupid, unless you already know the answer...inquiry is one of the four main ways that we as humans gain knowledge.
The others are: feeling, hearing, and seeing......
