This stain is on a cream colored carpet, and it's wall-to-wall in a rental situation so there's no way of just covering it - it needs to come out! Also, the stain is dried and set - I know if it were fresh it would be a lot easier to get out.
I've tried the suggestion of rubbing alcohol, and it lightened the stain considerably, but hasn't removed it and it also lightened the carpet around the stain. I appreciate all suggestions because I'll be trying them all until the darn thing comes out! :D

Saturate the spot with a neutrilizing ammonia solution(1tbsp household ammonia to half cup water) first.Make a detergent solution by mixing 1/4 teaspoon of a hand dish washing detergent 1 quart of water and work the solution into the stain with a blotting motion. apply detergent and blot with a paper towel . work the detergent into the stain this way till it is removed. spray clear water on the area and remove excess moisture with a towel
If there is still some stain on the carpet, then moisten the tufts in the stained area with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Let stand for an hour. Blot and repeat until carpet is stain free. Light will cause peroxide to change back to water so no rinsing is necessary.

I use to clean carpets professionally...and I can assure you that the ONLY thing that will remove the stain that you've described, is Hydrogen Peroxide (believe it of not)...as H2O2, Hydrogen Peroxide is the ONLY thing that will remove blood-stains or kool-aid stains from carpeting. Trust me on this one. But be sure to come back and let us know how it works for you.

Try a LITTLE bit of baking soda & vinegar to make sure it won't yellow the carpet. If it works OK try a bit more and leave ii in for afew seconds or until it stops foaming them wipe off with water. You may need to do it a few more times to make it disappear.
Good Luck!

I HAVE THE ANSWER FOR YOU... YOU ARE SAVED!!!
Buy a spray prodct called HOT SPOT. Its made by the makers of WD-40 oil. It is a blue can with an orange cap. Like a spray paint can. Anyways, you just srpay it on and all stains disapear. Although strawberry fanta might be too much for any cleaner. Stop drinking that crap. :)

Try white vinegar. Pour it on, let it set for a few minutes, then blot up with a white cloth or paper towels. You can also use lemon juice the same way. Good luck. I hope this helps.
