A great civil rights leader. He was killed by one of his own people who belonged to a religious sect he was part of. He protested about how blacks were treated and said that blacks should fight back by any means neccessary. He chose the name X because he said his real name Malcome Little later changed to Malik El-Shabaaz--little stood for a slave name that's why he changed it.

He was an activist for Black Power in the 60's as part of the civil rights movement. At first he advocated total separation from the whites, but then he changed to a more fitting-into-society view. For this reason, some of the more radical groups, such as the Black Panthers, didn't like him. He was assassinated. Nobody really knows who did it, but it is thought to be a Black Power radical.
