The thickness doubles every time you fold, so the thickness grows very fast. There is no limit, except what you start with can only be folded until the piece is as thick as it is wide. So If the paper starts out 2^11 times as long as it is thick, you could fold it 11 times. I believe someone in a shopping mall with a roll of toilet paper did fold 11 times.

no... it depends on how big and thick the paper is, you can fold a regular 8.5 x 11 peice of paper in half 11 times (without damaging the paper) . BUT if you wanted to fold it several times not in half you could do upwards of 20, but i beleive there is almost an infinite amount of times you could fold a peice of paper,but it has to have the right deminsions.

If you are folding it in half, even 8 times would be difficult. Folding it 11 times would result in a wad 2048 times as thick as the original sheet; for a typical 3-mil sheet of paper, that would be a wad 6 inches thick.

i would have to sy it depedns on the size of the papper and the fold while making a footl ball or a lady finger as i call it wich you shoot off of a ruber band i fold it many many times
so id say you can fold it more than 11 times
