In a vague sense, I think the stars and planets can affect human life. Like the moon affecting the tides. We also are made of mostly water, so I am sure a full moon has some sort of affect on us.
In terms of astrology, I don't think so. I actually find it rather insulting as I make my own choices and God gave me free will to make the best of my life. Planets in certain order are not going to change my morals and what I want out of life.

There are four forces of nature that can allow anything to have influence on anything else. Without them, no influence of any kind is in any way possible.
Two of these only operate in the nuclei of atoms. So they have no effect beyond 10^-9 m.
One (the electrostatic) has no long range effect because the Universe is neutral on the large scale.
Which leaves gravity.
And the gravity of a fly walking on the wall is higher that that of a distant star.
So no. Unless itinerant flies also affect human life through gravity.

Tidal effect due to gravity drops off at the cube of the distance, which basically means that if the moon was 10 times further away, the tidal effects on us would be a 1000 times less.
The effect drops off so quickly that the sun which is 10s of millions of times larger than the moon, has only half the tidal effect on us, yet it is only about 400 times as far away.
So, just look up in the sky and see how small the planets look, just starlike. None present a sizeable disk to the naked eye, even the closest, like Venus and Mars. Then ask yourself how they can have the slightest effect on us, given their tiny apparent size.
The stars for all their massive size, are so far away (the nearest is 250,000 times as far away as the sun), that if you cube that distance, their gravitational effect on us is next to nothing - your big toe would have a bigger tidal effect on your head, than does a star.

Astrologist is the one who studies the stars and moons and planets.
Astrologers are the "psychics" and "Tarot" card readers that also go by what the solar system does.

astrology is a pseudoscience with no basis at all in science. they give very blurred and vague answers because chances are they're right. example: "you are going through a tough period in your life, keep your chin up! " yeah? who isn't? belive it or not, its your choice, but give me five bucks and i could tell you the same thing.
