Well, I don't hate him, but I can't stand his policies. His economic policies are bankrupting the country, foreign policies are ticking off many former allies and stretching our military way too thin, and is replacing science with religion in medicine and science policies. He's just a bad President.

I'm gonna give you the short answer, for me, after 9-11, I actually respected Bush, and I actually thought he was gonna be a good leader, but then I kept on seeing all these examples of going after low priorities and incompetence over and over again. Some story would come out saying how the current administration screwed up, and then I'd think "aw it's just media spin" but then I'd hear the details and a whole lot of times, there really is just no excuse for the level of incompetence this administration shows. For instance, the situation in Iraq, the administration kept on make believing like if they didn't attack Iraq immediately, that we were gonna get blown away by some nuclear Holocaust , there was never any sort of evidence anywhere to support such a stance. Instead of waiting for a month or two, we decided to go ahead without any sort of real major international support, we should have gotten more support so we do not have to shoulder the enormous cost of this war all by ourselves almost. Although the figure that certain supporters of this war in the beginning gave were ten to fifteen times lower than what they will be in the end. That's #1, did'nt get enough support for the war. Now, okay the war is underway, as usual our soldeirs do great, but now it turns out that we have'nt found the weapons of mass destruction that we "knew" were there, so where are they. Now I realise that we found 500 or so artillery shells with traces of inert mustard gas, and some sarin filled shells, and it's great that we found those, bcause sarin is indeed a very dangerous substance, espescially in the hands of a terrorist, yet these were all made pre1992, and it has been stated in the "Duelfer Report" that these are'nt the wmds that we were looking for and it does not prove that Saddam had a reconstitiuted WMD program, and the administration has not been very talkative about this because they know that, now this is a fraction of the Iraqi wmd stockpiles, from the Clinton administration up through the Bush administration they have been saying that these weapons existed, SO WHERE ARE THEY?, I am deadly serious, where the hell are they, I hear theories of them being in Syria, well is'nt that really really bad, that the weapons are in a nation which is way more intimately tied to terrorism than Iraq ever was. #2 screw up: never found the weapons, may be in the hands of terrorists. #3 screw up: inflation is at an all time high, the debt is at an all time high, the gap between upper and middle class is widening. #4 screw up: Katrina, why was I watching people on CNN waving white flags and holding signs reading "we need help" three days before any sort of response from FEMA arrived, why was CNN able to get reporters to a disaster area before FEMA could, does'nt that seem wrong to some folks. I'm sure I could come up with more reasons but I don't want to type all day, now I am a Democrat, but I usualy support whoever can get the job done, I supported the first Bush, I supported Reagan, now this Bush has run out of second chances. Let me summarise:
#1:Did'nt get enough international support for the war in Iraq, in spite of the fact there was no imminent danger
#2: Never found all the WMDs, could be in the hands of terrorists
#3: Inflation is at an all time high, debt is at an all time high, the gap between the upper and middle class is widening
#4: CNN responded to Katrina victims before FEMA did
Now I have discussed things like this with my Republican friends, but they just kinda ignore it and mumble something, I truly hope that you will actually read this and actually ponder the substance of these facts, and don't rationalise it by saying they are just liberal propaganda, just look up all my points anywhere, any reputable media outlet, unlike Republicans we don't have to go to special right wing websites in order to prove our facts, there every where already. I really did honestly like the president at one point in time, but for me to just dismiss all the evidence and say he's an alright guy now, to me is the same as treason.

Ok, I'll do my best. I have 2 or 3 primary reasons.
1. He thinks he can circumvent the constitution and does. Then he is furious when he is called on it and says " terrorists"
2. The division in this country is sickening. Usually after an election, even if it is a rough one, the President tries for a consensus of opinions from all members of Congress. He does not encourage the infighting that GWB has encouraged and pushed.
3. Because he has alienated almost ever ally we have. America has no credibility with the rest of the world anymore.

I have some other things but those are the basis for my distrust of the man who heads our country right now. Even Pres. Nixon who was a paranoid person didn't separate this country like GWB. Sorry but that's how I feel.

Okay Salty--and remember--you asked for this--I DO NOT HATE G BUSH JR--but alot of people do---I do not like the man much--for alot of the same reasons--

First of all is his unbelievable AROGANCE--this is something that keeps coming up over and over all acoss the world (and by the way --this man has the absolute lowest numbers ever of a sitting president in poll after poll of country after country across the world)--It is there in his very demeanor and in the way he consistantly talks down AT people

Next is his IGNORANCE he has been a world-wide joke on this level ever since he arrived on the scene---it is not uncommon knowledge that the man was not that good in his studies --skirted an awful lot of the normal tracks of hard work because of his family attachments and was played-to by alot of the system for those same reasons--his non-existant command of the language has been the source of late night patter for years and the things that he says sometimes makes one wonder if there's anybody home there

At this point add the Arogance and the Ignorance together and you have a deadly combination in one's personality---it can and is considered a pyschological disorder in some circles

Next--you have this blatant agenda for the rich and powerful--starts out with the major tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans and moves rapidly into the freeing of some of the most powerful companies from their requirements of compliance on hundreds of envoirnmental issues --the move to eliminate the portions of the freedom of information act that covers the requirements of alot of the president's own documents to be made public after a certain length ot time (and don't use the war in defense of this one because it happened well ahead of 9-11)

Now we move to the war in Iraq---the very premise of the war was false--the story to the public was a fabrication--we were told that there was indisputable connection between Sadaam and 9-11 and that he had WMD and had plans to use them---on and on and on------He was told repeatedly by his top advisors what to expect if he went forward with the Iraqi invasion--was told that the situation there was--you take out the centralized structure and the thing will fall apart--into chaos of factional fighting and the long term solution will be decades in settling out---he chose to do the thing anyway and alot of people see it as him doing this for three distinct reasons ----1----to finish the job that his father failed at in Desert Storm ------2------to settle local security problems for the Saudi's with Sadaam's threats in the region-----3-----the oil

These are but a few of the reasons---to expound on these farther here would be ludicrous but there are hundreds more and mounting by the week---but may be some of this will assist you in your quest of knowing at least some of the things that are going throught the minds of THE MAJORITY OF THE WORLD'S POPULATION AT THIS VERY MINUTE IN TIME

First, here is a quote to ponder from a real man, a real Republican:

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -Teddy Roosevelt

Second, I don't dislike Republicans and have admired some and voted for some. What I find extremely distasteful is the direction your party is heading into: an attitude of 'it's okay to use all the dirty tricks we can, to distort the truth when it suits us, belittle or frame those who disagree.'

The truth is that Bush has turned an honorable, respected political party into a sham where getting what you want is always more important that basic morals.

It's not just the "Dems". Lots of folks, including many real conservatives are disgusted with Bush's disregard for the US Constitution and due process. We can start with the ironically named "Patriot Act" which, as a Bush supporter you may feel is a necessary evil, but no one has made a successful case as to it's constitutional validity. The Patriot Act blatantly violates many rights guaranteed the American public by the US Constitution.

Bush has taken it upon himself to interpret the Constitution. This is not even his job (unless you ask him). He has claimed to have the authority to disregard hundreds of laws designed to maintain our 3 tiered system of judicial, executive, and legislative checks and balances. This scares the hell out of a lot of people. In some regards, he conducts his affairs as a dictator instead of an elected official.

Bush sure hasn't done the economy any good. Sure, economic indicators show solid growth, but it's not growth seen by the general public. Like many Americans, I have a better job now than I did 10 years ago, but somehow I'm financially worse off than I was before his administration. To top it off, Bush spends our tax dollars like an addict. He's an absolute glutton. As a Republican I'd think you would be at least a little irritated by his lack of discretion in regards to how the feds spend your hard earned tax dollars.

His disregard for the environment is disturbing. He's painted his attempt to drill ANWAR, log large tracks of federal forest, and to deregulate polluting industries as acts done for the general good, when in fact very few Americans will or would benefit from any of his policy changes. When you think about who really benefits from the Bush administrations environmental policy (or lack of), his motivations become questionable indeed.

These are a few things about the administration that I find disturbing. I'm not even a "Dem". They tend to disturb me as well.

I hate what Bush has done to this country. I hate the way he lies to us. I hate his nonchalant attitude about serious problems in our country. I hate the bad decisions he's made that affect us all. I believe he is evil. I am not better off today than I was 6 years ago and the future looks bleak. I can see what is happening and it should be obvious to everyone. He is not qualified to be president of anything.

Well, a big reason is because....We're democrats! Many of us don't like him merely b/c he's too conservitive for our taste, which is why most of us are democrats in the first place.

However, I personally dislike the entire Bush administration more so than the actual guy. Bush himself has done some good things, like taken a mild interest in the Sudan geocide [which is better than how Clinton reacted to Rwanda], and I do think the economy HAS improved....

However, I distrust him and his administration for many obvious reasons. Back in 2000, when there was that endless dispute over FL, it really made me distrust him right off the bat. Furthermore, there has been tons of corruption that's been exposed from that side of the political spectrum. Also, the environmental policy has me going off the wall, and I'm not just saying that b/c of global warming.. Furthermore, the fact that 9/11 even happened was badbadbad. I know that's partially Clinton's fault too, but there's responsibility to be held in Bush's hands as well. Furthermore, this immigration issue is going nowhere, and he certainly isn't helping it move along. Buisness's are not being aggressivly punished for hiring and exploiting immigrant workers, and they also raised the price on becoming a citizen...All of which I dislike. I also believe Bush has been a terrible leader of the military, and that there have been so many problems, incompitencys, lack of $, and misconducts during this war, that it really makes me think he hasn't been able to take some initiative and really push to get things done. Oh, I also don't think our borders are protected well enough. Besides, whatever happened to "Mission Accomplished?" That's almost as bad as the "I invented the internet!" from Al Gore. Aside from that though, this Medicare and Social Security issue seems to have really fallen off the map, which annoys the crap out of me b/c there needs to be a big overhaul in that system. One last thing that annoys me, is how much nationalism he really instilled in this country. An essence of 'us and them' during this entire war [that is usually found in Democrat and Republican bikering] really instilled frightening amounts of nationalism, and dumbed down America into not questioning. Yes, that's their stupidity, but I think it was really manipulative of the Bush adminitration to take advantage of stupid ppl.
Furthermore, he's not an individual thinker, I think he follows what his party wants and believes a little too much. Personally, what makes a good leader is some individual thinking....And the ability to accept advice from all sources...Yes he IS suppose to represent republican ideals, however, leaders ought to be flexible....[not alluding the the fact the the democrat ideals woud be the way to be flexible. I'm just saying in general.]

But. I generally don't like putting all the blame on one guy, b/c it always seems like there're multiple people involved in misconducts and/or stupidity. So I really don't blame Bush for all of our problems, I just blame the entire government. Democrats had a hand in all our problems too, no one is all innocent. This isn't a good guy vs bad guy thing, or democrat vs republican thing, and whose right and whose wrong. It's about getting things done, learning from our mistakes, aiming for a big overhaul of what really needs to be fixed, and getting rid of incompitants in the government and government branches.....And maybe, just maybe, stop the politicizing and just get something done.

I'm aware you want us to back up our opinions w/ evidence, but I don't feel like writing an essay if your not going to really take it seriously anyways, b/c you might just looking for more reasons to hate democrats. [Both sides do that way too often, and it's getting way old] You can e-mail me though if you're really hell bent on hearing it all. howohsocliche@yahoo.com
