If you mean, "Do you favor abortion," then, no. I believe abortion carries consequences.

If you mean, "Do you favor giving individuals the choice about whether or not to end their pregnancy," then yes. Forcing a woman to carry and deliver a baby is one of the most horrifying and invasive coercions imaginable. It uses exactly the same reasoning as laws in some foreign lands which force women to terminate their pregnancy.

Allowing any government the power to determine a pregnant woman's fate in either direction is a precipice from which we do not want to fall.

Abortion is a medical procedure. I have no problem with any medical procedure. When life is sacrificed to save another it is a decision that should be made by all concerned parties in the presence of an attending physician.

Abortion "ON DEMAND" is a means of post conception, contraception in nearly every case. I firmly believe that if you abort a baby you are taking a human life. That bit of tissue is alive and the mother is a life support system. I see no difference between taking a fertilized egg from it's life support than turning off a respirator being used by someone to recover from disease or accident. They both need the life support to survive.

NOTE: Abortion has always been legal in the United States for any of a number of medical reasons. All Roe v Wade did was to make it legal on demand. Before the Supreme Court decision, "I am pregnant and I don't want to be pregnant", was not a valid reason for an abortion. After the decision it was a valid reason.

As a politically conservative I should love it. After all 21 years after Roe v Wade the pendulum began to swing toward the conservative side. I think the liberals are killing off voters at the rate of a million more or less every year. If I am right, we will see more and more conservatives being elected.
