It would be interesting if they do. De Niro and Pacino had the early start together in the Godfather movies and after that, they branched away from each other for other interesting mob and thriller movies. They might have friendly competition or rough, depending, see who is the better after being in Godfather together.

I heard it all started when they made the Godfather. DeNiro felt that he should've been the star in the movie he made, but they went back and forth with the story, and everyone remembers Al Pacino from that movie... most people dont even know DeNiro played his dad when younger.

Watch the movie "Heat". I don't think they hate eachother.
I do sense there is some dislike between Pacino and Martin Scorsese....they have never worked together...ever.

I kinda doubt they do. Maybe just something they're putting out there to start controversy & fuel interest.
If you actually did hate each other, I'd say it's because they've both been top, strong & competing actors for many years. Also they say what's on their minds & don't take criticism well.
