The Blazers were mad good on those trades. Hoped the knicks could've done something like that. Next years draft is gonna be better.

I think it was a good draft. It's actually been one of the deepest ones for a while now, even without high school players. The nineteen year old age minimum pretty much guarantees that high school players, unless they stayed back a year or two, will not be able to enter the NBA Draft after their senior year. This forces them to undergo at least one year in college where their skills will definitely be enhanced, and if they are really a good player, they'll be able to shine in college, even if it's only for a year, like they did in high school. But freshman college players usually aren't that big, unless you're Carmelo who was good then. So, they may want to stay in college until their sophmore, juniors, or maybe even seniors. You never know...

And about the Blazers, I think we'll see it what they did turns out to benefit them when the season starts. I'm not too sure though, neither am I about the Celtics who are my favorite team that got Telfair & Ratliff. But I don't know, I could be wrong and Telfair may be a good player in a Boston jersey.

For the most part high schoolers have been a bust. Okay Kobe, McGrady, Lebron and Garnett are the exceptions but what about the likes of Kwame Brown or Deshawn Stevenson.

Although the NBA can't make it mandatory that a player attend college for four years, the player is better served in the long run. At colleg they can develop the necessary conditioning, and fundamentals to succeed as a pro (best argument for four years of college Tim Duncan or Shane Battier).

Plus the fans of NCAA ball benefit as well. Its disheartening to watch your school build a program only to see the player leave after one or two years.

The only guys who I can see becoming superstars in this draft are Rudy Gay and Brandon Roy. I agree with the choice of Bargnani at one because this gives Toronto one of the deepest front courts in the NBA and they can become a more physical team. For the most part, this was a draft filled with good but not great players and many international "projects", the most promising being Saer Sene of Senegal. My prediction for rookie of the year: Brandon Roy of the Portland TrailBlazers because he is in a very rare position for a rookie: He is on a team that needs him NOW!!!
