Keep it simple for your 10 month old. This is the time when your baby is learning to feed themselves and you dont want anything to hard for your baby.

Veggies are great make sure they are soft enough for baby to chew.
Any meat you give your baby needs to be cut up into small pieces so baby wont choke.

You can always get ideas from looking ag the baby food jars in the store. I looked at what ws there and then cooked the same thing at home for my kids.

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, steamed carrots - a family favorite
Stew - beef or chicken
Homemade macaroni and cheese
Casseroles made with ground beef or ground turkey
Cooked sweet potatoes - mashed or chunks
Spaghetti
These were all things my kids liked when they were babies. They ate very little jarred baby foods. They are now 27, 24, 21, and 8 and all have good eating habits.

You know I have thought about this question before and was curious to know also, so what I did was search it and I came up with a few good sites to look at..
check out http://www.free4baby.com/babyfood/meat.htm,
see what you think..its really quite simple actually
if you can eat it with out chewing or tearing it and it dissolves in your mouth then it should be fine with your baby!
if in doubt ask your baby's peaditrician?
good luck :)
