Is myspace a good way to socialize and keep in touch with friends or is it just a way to get yourself raped or murdered

well in my opinion..i think myspace is great. it really depends what kind of stuff you put on your myspace that might get you raped or murdered...and its really unlikely that,that would happen. i would def. put your profile on private so that only your friends could go on it..theres a way for you to deny people you dont know. its really a cool way to get to know people. and you can alwats block people on myspace. but yes..you should def. try it out. ( just so ya know..its extremely addictive. lol)

well i was anit-myspace b4 all the stuff about how bad it is and stuff so yea.. and i've always thought it was pathetic that ppl would have a whole site thing for their friends to go to and leave some dumb comment when they could just as easily IM them or call them or w/e.. its just retarded and waste of time... and on top of that, its unsafe... and an employer can find your myspace to see how u really are and see pix of u that would be very threatening to your carreer or they can look at the comments or w/e is on the site... it happnes alot now... all over the news too.. its pretty bad and i just plain HATE myspace... its just so stupid

Yeah. Just keep your friends. It's not just a way to get yourself raped or murdered. You can keep up with your friends too. Personally, I have one, but don't do much with it. Just keep in casual contact with your peeps and you'll be alright. Don't go adding people you don't know just because they request it. Being smart about it is the best way to avoid getting murdered or raped. Being male helps too.

LMAO well it could be both. It's a great place to meet new ppl, & stay in touch with friends, & its quite fun/ addictive i gotta say.. but uh if you give out tooo much info like ur full name or high school or somethin then u could be in danger i guess. I think adults & other ppl are actin stupid.. i mean surre someone can get raped or murdered or w/e but if u keep most info to urself you'll be fine..

great for talking to friends. there was even a story on the news about a lady that got re-united with her 17 year old daughter that she hadnt seen since she was 2 (the daughter).
but ...
its the best way to get raped, murdered, or other awful things like that. (real) 14 year old boys keep on agreeing to meet creepy pizza guys that say they're 14 year old girl. then BAM! they get raped, and killed.
i think its bad. really.
it really is a toss up. but i would say bad.

I'm really into horror movies and started off writing reviews. MySpace actually launched my career. I am now co-owner of a company and currently co-writing a movie script and our company is producing. The director now wants us to be his sole production company. To sum it up...MySpace is one of the best, if not THE best networking tools out there.

Bad, because people can see your information. Plus its a dating website, ment for dating people in their 20s, so unless your that age or above, you shouldn't have a MySpace.

I think it is a good way to stay in touch with friends. However, people should be careful of what and how much information they put out there about themselves. So if a person is responsible it is awesome.

Depends. It's Good if all you're on there for is to talk to friends and crap. But if you've got pictures and all your information on there its bad. I've Got myspace. but I dont have all my information on there. <3

It's a good way to keep up with people you don't see on a reglar basis. But when your giving out your number and address, your asking for trouble.
