Those girls are weird. The ones who use lol constantly, when it's clearly not funny. They use it as a replacement period I think, or when they don't know what to say, and they just laugh. They are never laughing in real life. They're liars. Even weirder are the girls who actually say lol in real life instead of laughing. I shall never understand.

Sometimes it's just an annoying habit, sarcasm, or some anxiety. Women tend to be pushed into a role of being pleasant and nurturing all the time so it could be an acquired habit with the belief that "I can't show my true feelings."the fear of being viewed as a ***** plays a part in it.Many times a strong man is labeled a leader, but a strong woman is labeled as a *****,on her period,or experiencing PMS. Inappropriate laughter is just a defense mechanism for some. Have a great day.

I think some women are trying to understand the intricacies of every involved person's emotions at the same time, which is way too much for 99% of human beings. The inability to know exactly the right thing to say at the right time makes some women nervous, and they laugh at things that aren't really funny to counteract what they percieve as 'everyone knows I'm nervous!'.

Because maybe they know they sound plain but they find the fact that they are doing something so basic really funny. No, I actually don't laugh at myself if I say something that is not funny or about anything else that I find offensive.

I know alot of woman laugh when they are nervous, or unsure what to say... I'm guessing your just missing the joke. Woman have code words for certain everyday things. If I told you, I'd have to kill you... LOL (the pervious mentioned LOL was inserted for spunk) =P

I think it's nervous laughter...not true myrth.... get a good feeling of self-worth and you will laugh less at the ordinary.

They are trying to show that they are fun, happy people, and not as boring as their conversation would suggest. It just makes them seem silly.
