They need sandy acidic soil with a PH no greater than 5.5. If these conditions aren't met, they will not produce fruit.

I have two growing successfully in half-whiskey barrels with lots of organic soil and compost.

Blueberries love an acid soil. Hope this helps.

Blueberries grow well in my acid clay soil. I mulch with pinestraw or woodchips. I'm in southeastern US.

well my blueberries are in a clay like soil ....more soil than clay but it holds water
