I think Wayne Rooney should have got a yellow card for pushing renaldo (I would have given him a medal) not the red he was given for it. Most of the people answering questions about Wayne seem to think he got sent off for kicking carvalho`s plastic lunch box he did`nt. And if your wondering why I said plastic well they must be because he went on to play another 58 MINUTE`S after the incident. Not having any I cant say how painful it is to be kicked in the lunch box, but I do know when I landed a kick in my Xs lunch box he did`nt even get up off the floor let alone go on and play football.

I think that he would have got a yellow card, even for stomping on the guys balls if he hadn't had such a bad attitude.

I thought he was very childish, reminded me of when Beckham got sent off for kicking Simeone in the 98 World Cup match against Argentina.

I can believe that is was not on purpose, he may have just lost balance. Ronaldo helped him get sent off because the ref would have reached for the red as soon as it happened. Ronaldo will not be at Man U come new year.

Yes, absolutely. He kicked the wrong kind of ball. The referee was standing right next to him, what could he do? I think that asking for cards for your opponent, the way our little cry baby friend Christiano Ronaldo did should be punished with cards as well.

BTW: Did you see the way CR winked to the Portuguese bench as if to say that's done?

No ! ................considering that he had posession of the ball throughout the assault by 2 opposing team members and his body movements that include limb movement .....purely normal interaction by Wayne Rooney under the circumstances.Definitely No to the RED card and send off .

Yes, if you step on someones balls with violent intent, then you deserve to get sent off. It was clear that he was frustrated and he was trying to be a big man. What a dumb move. Cost them the game.

No, he should have gotten a yellow at least. But I do think the team played better with him off. He is a good player but just not that day.

Stamping on a player's knackers directly in front of the referee tends to elicit that response, yes.

They lost, let it go. Don't waste your life on a Post Mortem
of a non-event. It's football, it's all boring crap.
I'd watch it, if there were land mines hidden on the pitch.

Undoubtedly. That kind if behaviour cannot be allowed. Impressionable young people are watching & if they see him get away with acting like a spoilt brat they will think it is okay for them too.
