What do you mean by a month early? Wouldn't that be your *previous* cycle?
If you only have periods occasionally, having one a month early can only be a good sign of fertility, but it couldn't be a sign of pregnancy the way I think you mean it.
Assuming you're ovulating at all (not always the case when you are skipping whole months between cycles), you would ovulate about 2 weeks before your period. So bleeding a month early *cannot* be a sign that you got pregnant on your old schedule--you wouldn't have been fertile yet. So something has definitely changed. That's not to say that you *aren't* pregnant now.
I would suggest you read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It will help you determine if/when you are fertile and how to time things so as to have the highest likelihood of getting pregnant.

In most cases, the presence of a period means you are not pregnant. The uterine lining builds up to nourish a fertilized egg and fetus, when we have a period, it sheds because there isn't a fertilized egg to nourish. In some rare cases, women will continue to bleed throughout a pregnancy.
I'm just wondering how your period could be a month early when they run around 28 days for most women.

Don't worry. If you get a period at all, you're not pregnant!
There can be lots of reasons why a period will be irregular, and sometimes no reason at all. It can be very irregular when you are young, if you are stressed, or if you have some hormonal imbalance (which most women get at some point but it works itself out). Your period should come once every month, but cycles (from the beginning of one period, to the beginning of the next) can last anywhere from 26-36 or so days.
best wishes.

You can't start your period a month early. Your period is once a month.

How did you start it a month early? Aren't you supposed to get it every month? It's probably just your period for just this month! Probably nothing to worry about!!
