where is a good place for a begining skater to practice without being teased by people? besides the house....

It sucks when you just start, it's embarrassing to skate in front of other people. But if you skate at you house, a friend's house and get better, then go to a little park. Most skaters will see you fall, maybe laugh a little, then help you. The arrogant ones aren't worth your time. Just learn to laugh at your self and you will be fine. Talk to some skaters that you know, ask for help, go to the park in a group. If your part of a big group and someone makes fun of you, the other will stick up for you.

I don't like skating around people so I go to a walking park. You could try a skate rink on one of their slower days, too.

At a school playground when no one is around.( watch out for sand)
Empty parking lot
