Its her metabolism, some people gain weight more easily than others.
First of all she should have a blood work done.
Any medical problem has to be ruled out first like a thyroid problem, harmone imbalance etc.
If that is fine then maybe she is having more calories than the energy expended, in other words, less exercise and more food. She has to exercise portion control. Smaller portions at every meal, a small snack in between to avoid overeating at meal times. Snacks should consist of fresh fruits, veggies like cucumber, carrots etc. &nuts. No french fries or chips etc. No junk food AT ALL.
If all that doesnt work, maybe should go slow on carbohydrates like white rice, white flour, sugar. In fact sugar from natural sources should be the only sugar she must take.
No ice creams or sodas at all
Try all this, shouldnt go wrong!

Keep up the Exercise (walking) PLENTY of WATER and when eating be sure not to SKIP MEALS, Do not eat after 7pm, If she does then she will need to stay up four hours before bed. Eat every 2-4 hours SMALL Portions like healthy snacks, CUT BACK on (breads,& sweets) But she is still young try not do worry about dieting JUST INCREASE EXERCISE. She should be fine.

She is into depression. She doesn't have control on her system. She needs to take a look at herself in the mirror and realize that whoever is going to like her and accept her in the way that she is. I had been married twice and both time i got married with xtra weight!!! Once she starts loving and admiring herself she is getting self esteem, her depression will start going away and she will be ok to deal with her appearance. Maybe it can be thyroids. That gland does that. It controls your metabolism.

She may want to see a doctor to make sure she does not have a thyroid problem or slow metabolism or some other problem. Then, if there is no problem, I suggest- Healthy eating, plenty of water and exercise and good luck!

Ask your sister if she's recently started taking any new medicines even over the counter stuff because a lot of medications make you gain weight.
Have her drink a lot of water or green tea (NO pop).

she also needs to cut back on her salt intake , and the kind of salad dressing she uses. Also drink alot of water, juice, no soft drinks. The salt in the diet makes u retain water which in turn makes u bloat.

I think boosting her self confidence might be the first step...Tell her shes Beautiful just the way she is and help her stay positive and then tell her that you'll workout with her if she wants ...as suport and someone to push her when she wants to stop....Go out running with her or go to the gym together..I think that it would help if she had someone do it with her ...rather then alone...Good luck!

Flax Oil - 1 tablespoon in morning, and 1 in afternoon.
Also a sufficient multi-vitamin from a vitamin store (not from pharmacy).
This will do good for regulating her whole body.
