Inspiration is needed to inspire. You need to follow your passions via your strengths, values and interests to be an inspiration. When you love to help others, others will look at you in a whole different light. Simply take the best qualities of all your role models and go forward, from there, to inspire others with your life's work. It's not just about the money. It's about knowing, at the end of the day, that you have helped everyone you encountered to live at the fullest, highest quality of life possible to them through the ability of your talents, strengths and passion put into a purpose. That purpose is to inspire others to follow your example. "Lead by example" - Also know as the servant leader.
To be an inspiration you need to be true. It has to come from your persona. You can't just fake it to gain publicity. People can see right through a fake. "People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." - annonymous
Be you, be true, give and do - selflessly. That's how you become an inspiration!

I think our educators, inventors, our brilliant minds of the world serve as the best inspiration.
When you die, do you want to be remembered for being a host of that really good day time talk show or for educating our young to have a better life, inventing that tool that revolutionized science, or found that theory that explained our existence?
Me? I'll take the second road.
I think it all comes down to your own personal desires and what you really, at the core, want to achieve in life. Do you want to talk about doing that great thing, but never really doing what is necessary to achieve it, or, are you willing to do what is necessary to achieve your life goals regardless of what is necessary? If you have the drive, the determination, and the will to stick it out and get the job done (be an inspirator) then it will show by your actions. It will make you glow with confidence and other people who lack that drive will see your glow and like mosquito's in a bug zapper, they will be attracted to you and feed off your confidence.
Thus, an inspirator is born!

Find what you are passionate about in life, you will excel in it. This sets an example for others, no matter what it is, someone shares your interest. Your example could inspire them. You don't need to be Oprah or Angelina.
Though they may do good deeds, they are no comparison for the people that do things for no recognition or gain ( other than purely wanting to help others). When you are passionate about something, you lead by example, others will follow.

People are inspired by what inspirits them.
To posses the qualities and attributes required to go beyond the norm and acquire results of a positive nature.
Apollo Agrippa said: "We are not Doers, we are Deciders. Once we Decide, the Doing becomes effortless." As he believed, the conscious decision to "act" is the essence to any result. - Some results (or even just the shown effort) can be inspiring to another.
Hopefully, I have inspired you.

I believe to be an inspiration to others you have to not be afraid to be yourself. Strength of charater, courage, a drive to succeed are all great but if you can't be yourself then you are just a fake, a phony, and in the long not someone who can inspire others to greatness.

I believe you need to be non-judgmental, understanding and possess sympathy. It helps to be able to truly listen to what others are saying and guide others without dictating to others what they need to do but help them see the options that are available to them and let them make their own choices. Encouragement and belief in others is also an important factor in inspiring people. Inspiring others comes by example, when people see you making good choices in your life and overcoming challenges it inspires others to do the same.

inspiration comes from hearing and absorbing the testimony - someone else's story of winning. the winning may be physical, emotional and/or spiritual. the inspiration comes from internalizing the testimony, as well as receiving encouragement and determination from it.
