I had cheese tots with something gross and slimy in them. I know exactly why, too, and it was the only time it could have happened to me, as I'm always very courteous to my servers at fast-food places. The one incident happened because I complained about a menu item going from $.99 to $3.54, to a passenger in the car, and I yelled obsceneties.
And by the way, if you are rude to your fast food server, you better believe your food has been spat upon, dropped on the floor, etc. at least a dozen times. It doesn't take much, sometimes, just cop an attitude at the speaker. Don't act all high and mighty, these people have your FOOD IN THEIR HANDS.
Respect teh drive-thru person.

I used to work as a waitress in several restaurants in various parts of the USA; I'd say in 1/2 of them, if the customers sent there food back, the "cooks" would do worse then "spit" in your food; It's really disgusting what some people do....yech!

No, but I saw a waitress at a drive in drop a hamburger patty on the ground, pick it up and put it back in the bun and bring it to the customer. We left at that point.
