im a big fan of He-Man and my Friend who ive known from my school days is a thundercats fan wich has led to an argument thats went on for so many years. what is the best cartoon ever thundercats or He-Man!! Personaly i think thundercats is just a he-man rip off i mean look at the simularities He-man has a sword so does Lional. He-man has an ugly enemy called Skeletor Lional has Mumra He-man came first by the way! Anyway what made He-man "Accidently" Lift a sword above his head and shout i have the power!! I dont know!!! What do you think? who would win the almighty long awaited battle? or would they being the goodguys that they are shake hands and be "just friends" Can you help solve a years long argument!

ThunderCats had better animation, and the early episodes are superb, but the show quickly drove itself into a rut, telling variations on the same theme ad infinitum. He-Man was the better series as, despite its heavy-handed moralising, it had sharper writing and a cooler villain.
As to who would win in a fight? It's gotta be He-Man, by sheer numbers if nothing else - there were only, what, seven ThunderCats. There were a bazillion He-Man figures.
And as for the whole sword thing. There was a cartoon in '81 called Blackstarr (which, like He-Man, was made by Filmation) which had a hero with a magic sword, and a premise that was startlingly similar to He-Man.

It depends, if it was a free for all then it would have to be the Thundercats due to their number. However if it was some sort of one sided tag team by the Thundercats i believe He-Man would win due to his strength.

I think He-man was one of the worst things to happen to animation. But if they were to face off, the Thundercats would lose to the ridiculously powered He-man and his friends whose powers were generally part of their names...stupid.
Thundarr the Barbarian was the best sword-wielding cartoon charactor ever, he killed. He also didn't ride an angry grumpy tiger thing or have an annoying furball Snarf around...no kids either.

He-man would would definately win especially if she-ra was on hand to help but if the fight was against the Poofy Prince i think it would be the Thundercats that would win.

Thundercats would definitely win. Lion-O has the best sword of all and can summon the other 'Cats when he needs them. He can also receive advice from Jaga when in trouble.

personally i reckon thundercats would win. Just cause they are a team and lionel can summon help with the light from his sword (am I remembering right???)
But yeah you're prob right they would shake hands and fight together against the baddies!

The enemies of the two would team up and convince them they are enemies and they would kill the heck out of each other. Then the villians will fight over the land and end up killing each other. Then there will be nothing. Just as it sould be. Without either cartoons.

that midget, poofy thundercat would take on them all if it was considered chibi. Midgets in Japan animation tend to have extraordinary powers.
