do you know that every product has been tested on animals? The companies that say "no animal testing" only use products that have already been approved by the FDA and the only way the products were approved was by other companies testing the products on animals. If you feel so strongly about not testing on animals I think you should go and volunteer to be a human tester. I don't like the thought of animals suffering, but it is a fact of our lives and the way we live.
If you really want make up with no animal testing.....go without make up.

Arbonne International.
They've got acne control, cosmetics, hair care, and they've got excellent daily skin care regiments. No animal testing, no aminal by-products, and very earth friendly. Everything they have to offer is botanically based... herbs your body loves. I never had skin so nice before I used Arbonne. If you'd like a free sample.... give me an e-mail @ livintosoar@yahoo.com !
P.S. In response to some of the above 'answers'... you are partly right. Not many companies in America have no animal testing or animal by-products.... and since Arbonne is a Swiss company ...formulated under European regulation... along with all those European beauty secrets... they have ABSOLUTELY NO aminal testing. All is done on human volunteers. oh, and if you don't know what it means to be without animal bi-products... picture this... roadkill and unclaimed vet deaths... all taken to a rendering plant somewhere and boiled down and then put in America's cosmetics.... feels good... IF you know nothing about it! Only 2% of American companies have no aminal bi-products in them. Arbonne does not!

Check the labels. There are many products that are not tested on animals. Places like Whole Foods, carry tons of animal friendly products.

They are all tested on animals! Thats why they are so darn cute. Just kidding, I truly have no idea. I guess the best thing to do would be to surf the net for non-animal tested products.

they are tested on animals so that we can be safe and lead a better life. some are not tested on animals because they dont have side affects and maybe they are not too harsh or harmful in any way possible
