I want to know what is the meaning of the word 'friend' ...based on what judgment do you consider someone to be your friend ?..what are friends supposed to do?

All my friends are the people I chosen to have in my life. They are the people I am always going to be there for and who will always be there for me. What really makes it cool is we all know that we don't have to talk everyday, we just know that we are there for each other, support each other, opinions mean the world to each other. Good friendship is about understanding, trust, being non judgmental at the right moments, and then kicking them in the a** when they need it. It isn't all about common interests its about common souls and I truly I think that all my friends are my soul mates! That is what true friends are all about to me.

is one you selected, it is not someone imposed as a brother father or any kind of relative, superior ,chief , subordinate etc.
of course you may have brothers that are your friends but it is because you decided that way not because being your relative.
A friend is one which you have communication, you agree in what you communicate so your affinity for that person increases and so there is understanding. And you will consider a friend as long as you continue having communication, you continue agreeing in what you communicate an so having affinity and so understanding

A friend is someone that likes you for who you are, that will stand by you through thick and thin, that will stand up for you to haters, that you can always rely on to help you out when you need it, and that is loyal to you and cares about your feelings.
TRUE friends are hard to find, but when you do find one, don't let them go!

My idea of a friend is someone that doesn't sugar coat the truth. They have what it takes to be honest and would do what they could for others without losing who they are.

Friend... Friends are people who cares for you. Everyone was born equal, everyone was motivated by SOMETHING to be who they are now, it's either their parents, other friends, music videos, etc. I would say, people who are there for you, people who care about you, people who help you at tight situations, and most definitely, people who will talk to you about anything. Friends are people who consume one's life and some people believe friends are the only thing they have to keep them living.

to me,afriend is there thru good and bad.a friend is trusted with my life and all the things in between.you know you have a real friend when you piss them totaly off and they always forgive you without drama.what else would you want a friend to do
