there is probably not a definitive answer for this as there are so many different positions and slight variations on them...a good book to educate yourself on a lot of them is "kama sutra"
When you ask how they are used I am not sure exactly what you mean but different positions feel differently for everyone, some feel better than others...some are just easier to do or more comfortable.

Depends how flexible you are. Check out the Kuma Sutra. Also try to make up your own.

there are way to many to list here. and there is many ways to use them , to gain them all you have to have an open mind and be adventures to try new thiungs and to see hwo it works you can even make up your own too.
