about coverage? I live in East Sussex and can only get regional BBC on DABS radio but I really want things like HEART or MAGIC ......... are we doomed to get only the minimum down here? It's like Freeview here, cannot get that either!

It's the same for us in Devon!

This link will tell you what you can get - all you do is enter your postcode. Having said that, my postacode comes up as a blackspot but I can receive the full DAB service at maximum strength. Go figure....

You can get digital radio thru' your cable TV if you want to consider selling your soul to NTL or Telewest.

I always considered the fact that we couldn't get Channel 5 on terrestrial as an upside of not being able to get Freeview.....

Blame it on the South Downs they absorb a lot of radio waves and block the signal getting through to you. I have a small DAB radio and live in Cambridgeshire the signal here is generally okay but occasionally I get a weak signal from certain stations. I am afraid you may only be able to get these stations on-line in the short term. However, should improve as digital transmissions take-over from the old analogue signals

On normal DAB RADIO you can get MAGIC or Heart. Shame in the 21st century, people separated by 200 miles fail to have the same radio supply.
