I guess people have become a lot self centred, its a me me world. most couples enter into marriage and still think about doing things that benefit just them as individuals. They forget they are no longer one person but two that have become one. They of course should have there space, but little things that make no meaning can easily bring about divorce in this day and age.

It's not suprising, people are becoming more and more selfish every day, it won't get any better either. I'm commited to making my marriage work and so is my husband, I can't be concerned with all the people who don't think it's important they will make their beds and lie in them. Nobody ever said marriage was a cake walk, and if they did they have never been married. The more the world raises Godless children without moral standards the more divorce we'll have...that's alarming.

it's sad to say it but people today do not respect marriage or commitments....I left my wife of 5 years beecuz she was cheating on me with a guy ten years younger then her, and during the course of our divorce I began an affair as well..I'm messing around with a married woman, I was even shocked at the fact that this married woman would do should a thing to her hgusband so I guess I'm wearing both shoes here..lol I have to laugh becuz no one believes in marriage or love...the only love I have is the love for my children, there is no love greater then that, so my advice is don't get married just live together and stuff but avoid marriage

i think divorce is stupid. i am currently going threw one and it was because my husband of 2 years didnt really want to get married. he screwed up and now i am suffering for it. i think divorce should be illeagle for the first 10 years, unless there are sever circumstances. It should be mandatory to go threw 1 year counseling before a divorece.

sometimes, i think it is bcoz of the freedom etc to live ur own life without any emphasis on the family and culture that we are experiencing this. if u compare it to countries in East, especially asia, you wud notice that divorce rate is much lower there and there is higher emphasis on family life.
