Of course they should have. They have been WAYYY under-acheiveing in this world cup, not the mention the past few months. Erikson has to go. If england had a manager that could bring all of the player's talents together they would have won the world cup. I believe if Owen and Beckham did not get ingured, and Ronney was not sent off, then they would have won the game in regular time...but that's not what happened...and england won't be winning the world cup for a loooooong time now...

Of course because the team has a number of excellent players in it and they have tried this year but they couldn't achieve a lot because of Owen's injury and as someone else mentioned Rooney's temper but overall I was pleased with England's efforts and I hope they can come out better than this in 2010.

No. I think the mix of players in the team all played to the best of their abilites.Although they all played better after Rooney was sent off. They all moved up a gear.
But, at the end of the day, they were beaten by a better team.
Probably because they played like a team & not like a collection of individual egos.

Owens wasn't there. Beckham unfortunately came up injured. And Rooney - Well his bad temper cost the team dearly. Still, there are a number of other fine players on the team. It was an unfortunate loss but nothing they can't pursue vindicating in four years.
