When you go to do your business spread your cheeks as far out as you can (I know this is gross but it cuts down on the mess). Then try and find a leaf that is not poison ivy.

Use leaves to clean yourself off with. Of course, make sure you know what plant(s) you're using. Wouldn't want poison ivy all over your nether regions, would you? Actually, Wally World carries little rolls of TP that are small enough to put into your purse so it's not a bad idea to keep one or more of those in your purse or car or camping equipment just in case!

Find some leaves that you KNOW are not poison ivy/poison oak/poison sumac or otherwise caustic or poisonous, then go about 50' or farther from the nearest running water.
Oak leaves, maple leaves work well. Magnolia, laurel leaves do not.

Either sacrifice and bury a sock or use lambs ear if it grows in that area; it's a very soft leafy plant that works well in a pinch (or when you just can't pinch any longer)

You can always find a peice of paper or newspaper if your needing something to wipe with! Or and old towel and throw it away! Next time you'll remeber the tissue i bet!!

Any paper products would suffice, although when I stop and think...Cardboard would be rather harsh.

Use a newspaper. It always has the same crap in it so there would not be any difference. LOL .
