I'm sorry that's happening right here in Yahoo! Sadly, racism is till alive and well in this here united States, breathing in the hearts of some. It's a shame, because equal rights is only 42 years old and we haven't been given much leeway since that. I don't believe color matters. I'm not racist, I like everyone for who they are, as long as they're nice. May sound a bit corny but it's true. If you accept me, I accept you. But color was never an issue with me. Maybe the United States does need another Harriet Beecher Stowe, or someone brave enough to push more leeway. We got something started, now we have to follow through on it. All of us.

It may not even the issue of colour but culture. There is a black culture in the states for sure. I think both whites and blacks are fascinated and quite enjoy the black culture. In Canada we have the First Nations or Aboriginals who have their own culture, the Quebec French and then the French who live throughout Canada. There are so many different races including Scandinavions, Scots, Irish, Arabic that all play part in our country's uniqueness.

I think because the majority of users here are american. But as far as the racism being alive in the US, yes, it exists everywhere, watch the news much? Riots in France? Genocide in Sudan? pick a country, there is racism there, and many times worse than in the US

Humans make color matter. Racism exist because humans choose to keep it going. You can never have enough people remaining vigilant so that the great tragedies that have occurred in our society will never be repeated i.e. slavery, holocaust, civil rights violations, and discrimination unchecked. Peace.

I am American but I am not racist and I don't know anyone who is. I'm sure there are racist people in every society/culture around the world, not just in America.

Unfortunately I don't believe racism is going to just disappear

America was founded and built by believing one race/culture is better then the other.

You will always have somebody believing that one culture is better than the other. We see it around the world.

What we need to learn to respect others and when you respect something it doesn't forsake your own beliefs

Racism makes me sick the only time colors should be divided is while doing laundry. I wish it would all end theres no point to fighting each other.

Unfortunately racism, by both white and black people, is a problem in America, It's stupid, but it's a problem. I take this means that it's not such a problem in your country?

The only time whites and colors should be separate is when you're doing the laundry.

People need to stop racism altogether. It's ridiculous! Sad that it will never change.
