i have a gx-100bt solid body electric takamine guitar, and i need to do some touch up work on it. can anyone tell me what wood this specific guitar is made of?

I got curious about this one, since you said it's a solid body electric. That's the problem with your search. Takamine does not make electric guitars. Never has. It only makes acoustic and amplified acoustics. I looked at the Takamine website, and there are no electrics listed. Nothing with the model no. gx-100 either. There is nothing in the G series of acoustic guitars with that name. And there is NO listing for takamine electrics in the ultimate resource, the Blue Book of guitars.
You should re-examine this guitar. I googled it as well and found a few form posts with others claiming to have them. Could you all be wrong? Yes, if someone is out there making guitars and putting "takamine" on the instruments. This doesn't mean it's a bad instrument, however. But it does mean that you have something not made by Takamine.

It's either gonna be basswood , or poplar wood.
