My cilantro plant started producing blooms and now the leaves are very small. How can I stop this?

It's easy enough to just plant more cilantro, since it grows pretty quickly. Normally with herbs, deadheading the blooms makes for more leaves, but this doesn't work with cilantro. What happens then is that the leaves thin out and the flavor gets muted. You should just plant some more. The stuff grows like weeds anyway.

Pinch off all the blooms, that will help the plant to put its energy into the leaves. You might also give the plant some calcium-it promotes leaf growth. I hope this helps.
