There are lots of things that could delay a period. The pill won't make you start. I have been on the pill on and off for about 14 years, one brand of pill I was on I would only have a period every other month. Some my periods would only last 2 days on other pills. If you take it like you are suppose to then I wouldn't worry too much. Wait a month or so and if you don't have a period then check with your doctor. The hormones in your pills could be too strong or not strong enough. I can only go by my cycle but I know I am suppose to start on Sundays(according to my pills) but most of the time I won't start until tues or wed of that week. If wouldn't worry for now but if nothing happens in the next month or so or if you think you might be pregnant, see a doctor.

It depends on which type of pill you are on.

Some birth control pills can and do eliminate your period.

In some cases, your body is trying to get used to the hormones in the pill, and you can skip a period, or get two in one month.

No birth control pill can "make" you have your period, but some of them "allow" it by giving you five or seven pills that have no hormones in them. They are usually called the "sugar" pills, but they aren't always made of sugar...it's just cornstarch.

If you are on the pill for birth control reasons, there is a chance you didn't wait long enough for them to be effective and you could be pregnant. Please check with your doctor.

If you are on the pill for a medical reason, like trying to treat/cure a disease called endometriosis, then not getting your period could be from the disease, not the pill. So once again, it's a phone call or a trip to the doctor.

Whatever the reason for you taking the pill, I hope things turn out well for you.
