a tattoo isn't worth losing a relationship over, but losing a relationship because a guy is trying to control what you do with your own body is a pretty good reason. if you're a model, I suggest you discuss it with your agent, not your boyfriend. there will always be another boyfriend... but only one chance at a modelling carreer.

First of all if you are old enough to get a tattoo it is YOUR decision NOBODY elses because it is YOUR BODY!!!! NOBODY ELSES!! Second of all if you are a serious model you know it cannot hurt your career but limit your options as to what kind of modeling you do! So you know in your heart the right answer you are just waiting for someone to tell you what you want to hear!! Do the right thing and you can never go wrong!

If you're a model, then it's advisable that you don't get a tattoo...especially one that will show....get you one in a private place at the least. Now as far as your boyfriend is concerned, this is YOUR body. If he's willing to break up with you just because of a tattoo, then maybe that's the best thing that you and him go your separate ways. Best of luck to you......

wow i love all this malebashing! look im a guy, my girlfriend wanted a tattoo for years, (shes 39 im 24) all or her friends have these crappy jobs done at tat partys by unclean needles and homemade guns so i told her no. i realize that makes me some control freak but it was in her best interest. last year i told her to figure out what she wanted and stay with it, she changed her mind about 20 times. finally she decided and we went to a reputable shop with a good clean record and had it done professionally. she is happy with it now and shes glad i made her wait. you need to find out what his problem is with it and compromise. maybe he wants it where noone else can see it.

You are an individual. Nobody owns anybody, and you should be allowed to continue being an individual, just because your in a relationship don't mean you can't do what you want to. You know how he feels and he knows how you feel. and if he truly is a man, he will let you continue to be a woman (with your own mind)

It might hurt your career yes but if you want one then do it. Don't listen to your boyfriend, I am sure if he wanted one he would just go get it. It's not like you are cheating on him or anything.

Do what you want it's your body and if he doesn't like you for it then he's not the guy for you anyways! And as for your career if they don't want the tattoo to show they have make-up to cover it up but i still suggest talking to your agent first!

Talk to your boyfriend, and tell him what getting the tattoo means to you. I'm sure, once you have talked it over & the tattoo is in a discreet place on your body, your boyfriend will be ok with you getting what you desire.

You are your own person, you only have to answer to yourself, not your boyfriend. That is not going to make him stop loving you. As for your career, it wont hurt anything. If they want to cover it up, they can.
