i should add (NO MIDDLE-EASTERNs PLZ) gosh ... i just asked a simple question in a non-official Q&A ... this is totally a bad iranian attitude ... learn this here: "we iranians take every single opportunity to deffend our own (or own party) thinking and looking for supporters in wierdest places".

Mr. jmminnc: dude, we have bigger ponishments in iranian laws against having sattelite entertainments, gambling, alcohol, and sex before marriage.

ppl com to my place (some place in far east) and complain, they have only 40 sattelite channels from the local cabel service but inside iran they can get up to 500 american, eu, and asian sattelite channels @ their home ... out of every 7 person, 1 own @least 1 set of reciever. i don't know any person who do not drink on the fear of islamic low unless he/she has a position in governmental offices, hijab: ppl my age mostly have parties in occasions like Norooz, WdnsdayFire, Sadeh, Xmas, Hunica, Weddings, holidays, and dey'r uncover, drnkn sex

didn't want to say those things up there cuz i didnt want to give the others clues and somehow lead their idea, but u see this is the huge problem for iran and iranians ... some iranians who are conservitively (don mind mis-spellings jus read) against the islamic gov. as well as some extreamist arabs (Mostly Iraqi), it's not about the idea of islamic iran (the thing that so called west is accusing iran for it, it's more because iran has majority of 80% shi^et, (funny part is that same ppl accuse iranians for supporting israel), so i dont think they r generally the right people to ask from.).

The only things I really know are things I obtained from researching it myself online.

For example, I know Iran is a member of the N-NPT. I also know they have never been the first ones to attack during any war. IE, Iraq attacked them first. I also researched some of the overall history of the Middle East.

Unfortunately, that's about all I know. Shows you how ingorant us Americans are when it comes to history and culture of countries in the Middle East.

It a rich great country. Iranians are very industius people and rich in Natural resources. I have worked all over the Mid-East and Iranians are really conservative and hard workers.

They have had a history of some really waked out leaders though with the Shaw and this new guy...however they are a really closed country so I will not judge before I know the whole story.

The reason they are always in the headlines is everyone wants the country because its rich in natural resources.

They absolutly despise Iraq ever since that war. Many insurgents in Iraq are from Iran, because they want the country to fail. They are run by an Ayatollah, an islamic religious leader who has absolute power. They hate all religions that are not Islam, especially Judaism. Their policies on treating "non-believers" in their country is comprable to the nazis (they make Jews wear yellow armbands) This is just the government, though. I'm not sure how the people, especially young ones, are really like.
