Basically your scorin with the board but the rest is probably cheap. I would try CCS they won't rip you a new one. You can try it but it will not last you for a year or beyond. My favorites are: Red's bearings, abec 7's, they last so long. Wheel's don't really matter, average size will set you up for a while, just don't get them too small or they won't last longer than 6 month''s. As far as hardware I don't like to go with shorty's because once your board wares in the grooves you will be left with loose trucks because shortys have a segment that comes with no grooves. Terrable pieces of crap. Boards, the pop and flip can make a difference when it comes to your trick pref's and style, and the layers of ply are important for dirability but remember that a lot of blanks also carry these same quality's. Best board I have ever skated was a blank. I think there is a lot of misinterpretation with the big name boards. Trucks go with Independant they are heavyer and make you work but they pay off for how long they last. Hope this all helps bud, if you have any more questions you can always hit me up. Good luck.

i would have to say walmart. 8 bucks a board. Their boards suck big time though, but are great to learn on. If you still interested after a few months, go to a local skate shop and get one of their boards. This could range anywhere from $80-$140. But it's worth it. Just start out with a walmart board first.

You can buy skateboards many places. I suggest that you try places other than Wal*Mart or Target, You could try places with sporting goods. I bought a killer board at Ricky's Wheels.

Yard sales, garage sales, the newspaper, friends who have an old one and want some cash to put up, you might also try some of the larger thrift stores, sometimes they have them.
