green day man. i'm a straight male and they are my ******* favorite band ever. the ramones and them didn't invent ****. i mean, i like them but green day was the pioneer. and again, you may think that i'm just saying this because i heard "boulevard of broken dreams" on the radio. i have most of their CDs and practically all their singles. and they are good not only because of what they did, but what they started. simple plan, good charlotte, blink-182, simple plan, sum 41, new found glory and MCR. all awesome.

Ramones. Without a doubt. There are none who followed who did not cite them as a seminal influence. Incredible logevity and their body of work speaks for itself.
