Also, check with nearby hotels and motels. Virtually all of them have fax mahines though they do tend to charge rather high prices. Some limit the service to guests only, though a couple of $$ in the hand of the desk clerk will usually get you past that restriction.
My local Wal-Mart also offers this service for a reasonable price.
If your computer has a fax modem installed (most do) and the document is on your hard drive you can fax it directly from your computer; just hook the phone line to the modem and go for it.

You can always fax a document online using an internet fax provider. There is no need for a fax machine or fax server. And best of all they're always open.
