Gays are in the minority no matter where they are in the world. Minorities gain strength through solidarity.
Be open about your lifestyle and seek other gays out.
If your world rejects you, then find the world that will not.

Assuming you openly let everyone know then take it a step at a time, but be very aware of those who disapprove especially who might wish harm on you. And try to be prepared for such an event. You might want to be surround by the people that love you and respect your decision, not necesarrily physicaly but as your circle of trust so you can draw strenght if you needed. We still live in an age of hatred and violence there are people that would use their beliefs to justify their actions(reason i word it that way i myself never read the bible but heard people comment on its material). But if you havent openly showed the world think about the pro's and cons before you make the final step. Think how is it goin to affect your life? Are you sure about your orientation or is confusion? Once you have decided you can take appropiate steps. A good friend of mine is gay he is well aware of the consequences if he publicly tells, he chose not to due to the nature of his carreer and the people involved. He stays in that small circle for strength and guidance from all his friends and family. Thats all i could say hope the best for you.

You have to learn to leave your life with out fear. You will find some close minded people on your path. Don't let it bother you. I have 2 couple of gay neighbor's and it Sims like no one bother them. You live your life and do not worry for what other people think, people will judge you regardless you are gay or not.

Unfortunately, this is a situation that you have to make the decision. My advice you have to decide what is more important. Your happiness or what your culture dictates.... It sucks but it is what it is....
