Rules for Immigrating to Hawaii are the same as for all the USA. So it would be better, in my humble opinion, that you go to University in HAwaii so you would arriving there as a student. While in Hawaii see if you can get a job with a pharmacy chain or company and if they will 'sponsor' you for a work visa and be able to stay in the USA.

I would recommend that you go to the INS and State and read requirements. Also, all the colleges/universities have, in the admissions section of their website, information on non-residents going to school in their institution - cost for out of State students, etc. You should definitely read this website thoroughly and print out the forms you will need.

If you want to go to school in Hawaii you have to start as soon as possible - because you have not enrolled yet, you might not be able to get into school until next year...but give it a try.

Also, not all credits will transfer so you might have to repeat some courses (some universities/colleges have a limit of credits that will transfer)

Good luck.
