i just answered a question like this so i am going to reiterate some of the same things i said.....i don't think abortion is murder. i think it's a personal decision that works for SOME people. in some cases it's the best solution. there are documented cases of 6 year olds giving birth! this is just soooo wrong to me on so many levels!! just imagine if it was your 6 year old? or 10 year old or 12 year old! i would never ever ever have a child give birth just b/c some ignorant fool says oh "she spread her legs she better have that baby". that is just the dumbest thing i have ever heard. everyone's situation is different! what if that child's family can't or won't raise that baby?? what if they don't want to have the baby just to give it up for adoption?? i don't understand the logic in FORCING someone to have a baby just to give it away or be forced to keep it. also why would you make a child endure pregnancy and child birth?? that's just horrible....it's hard enough for grown women to carry a baby but to have a child do it? isn't that traumatizing? all everyone thinks of is the unborn embryo but not the actual living child!! what about her life? why is it wrong for her to abort the pregnancy and live her life out as the child that she is? now in the case of a normal person...teen, adult.....whatever. people make mistakes. we're all only human. i don't think abortion should be used as a form of contraception ofcourse but there are instances where both people involved don't want to have a baby and that's okay! they made a mistake i'm sure they'll learn. i just don't get it. rape victims as well! why should that woman be forced to carry and deliver a baby that she never wanted? so she can live out her rape everyday that her stomach gets bigger and bigger and have a child to give up for adoption that will wonder why he was never adopted?? b/c lets face it, not all babies get adopted!! maybe in a perfect world but not on this planet!! abortion is a personal decision unique to each persons situation. i don't think people should judge so harshly on what they don't know.

Abortion is an option which should be open to women after they have considered the alternatives and consequences. But it is between the woman and her doctor. No one else.
I strongly believe that people who think abortion is wrong should not have one.
Also, people who oppose abortion should all be willing to take on the responsibility for adopting and raising the babies.

Also don't mistake being pro-choice for necessarily being pro-abortion. Most people who support a woman's right to choose are not advocating abortion as a method of birth control, only as an option when absolutely necessary.

Also, anti-choice groups have received $60 million in taxpayer money under the 'Faith Based Initiatives' programs.
Pro-choice organizations get $0.

I think that some day people will view it very negatively as something kind of barbaric and unnecessary that we did because we were so ignorant about birth control.

But also in the future I blieve people will feel that eating meat is wrong also.

Right now I think that abortion is a wake-up call for all pro-lifers and pro-choicers to get together and promote birth control and birth control research, and fight against those people on both sides which are keeping this issue alive by not making universal voluntary birth control the #1 issue. We have the solution to the abortion debate in our hands, we just have to use it.

I think that it is up to the woman to choose whether to have an abortion or not. It is their right as an individual to make their own decisions and no one else should get in the way of that. I'm saying this because not every woman in this world who gets pregnant has given birth successfully or has a baby that is not developing well. At times there may be that a woman could have a disease which may put her and/or her baby at risk of death.(lets say that she may be 1-3 weeks pregnant) and an abortion may be what a doctor would recommend for her survival.

Read the decision! It is an amazing read. They didn't just half-azz decide the case.

They went aaaaaallll the way back to Greece and Rome.

Quoting a highlight: {It perhaps is not generally appreciated that the restrictive criminal abortion laws in effect in a majority of States today are of relatively recent vintage. Those laws, generally proscribing abortion or its attempt at any time during pregnancy except when necessary to preserve the pregnant woman's life, are not of ancient or even of common-law origin. Instead, they derive from statutory changes effected, for the most part, in the latter half of the 19th century. }

The simple answer is if you are against abortion, don't have one! I really do think that abortion should remain legal although I don't like the idea of going past the first trimester. And I really don't think men should have an opinion at all. The anti-abortion crowd is usually anti-abortion and pro execution. Seems to me if you value life, you value all life from cradle to grave. Think about it. A woman is forced to give birth, didn't want the kid in the first place, it grows up, maybe commits a horrible crime (being unloved and unwanted) and then the pro-life crowd want to execute him/her! I love it.

I believe that only GOD can answer if a fertilzed embryo is a person yet and that a fertilized embryo is not an independent life; therefore abortion is NOT murder. Since only GOD can answer that question then I completely believe each woman should have the right to make that choice. Because only GOD knows the truth, we have no right to dictate to anybody what to do with their body.

Everyday we see ppl put to death in prisons or ppl disconnected from lifesupport machines in hospitals (dependend life) but we do not call those things murder. You also hear a lot of ppl who are anti-abortion say they believe it is murder but then again ok in the cases of incest and rape.

Why is it ok to suddenly have a conscious about making a woman have a baby after rape or incest but then turn around and find it perfectly acceptable to dictate to her in all other cases. Makes no sense whatsoever. Either it is murder or it is not murder. And like I said, only GOD knows that answer so I think I, and every other nosey hypocrit, has no right to make GOD's decision for him.

1. Its wrong
2. Its wrong
3. Its about reponsibility, and taking responsibility for your actions
4. In slight circumstancs its ok if the mothers life is in danger or rape or incst or some other sicko thing
5. HOWEVER, With the world bulging at the seams with ovrpopulation ESP developing nations like India and the Philippines, I think we can all turn the other cheek and actually encourage Abortion. Though it is wrong, we are all overpopulating this planet at a dangerous rate. If the entire planet went without having children for 10 years we ARE STILL over populated

I think it is down to the individual, within the law to protect the unborn. Given that, then it is no one else's business, certainly not the protesters and "right to life" mob.

You only have to read or listen to the arguments to know that these people, this mob, have no experience, no empathy and absolutely no idea of the trauma and impact that this kind of decision has on those involved.

People taking the moral high-ground should stop and have a good look around. You can't even see the moral high-ground from the foothills of your pathetic ill informed argument. Care for all gods children, even, and arguably especially, those faced with this most difficult call.
