Yes, she could be teething. My son started about 2 months and didn't get that first tooth until he was about 5 - 6 months old. It is a rough time for them as well as you. Try a touch of tylenol is the crying is too bad this will help the pain.

I have been told by a medical professional not to use baby orajel stuff. She told me that it has the tendency to numb so much that the throat goes numb making breathing difficult.

Good luck.

my youngest was born with a tooth, which isn't common, but it happens from time to time, it fell out within the first month.
He seems to be teething since he was around three months old, his gums are extra tender and he chews on his fingers a lot and drools.
You can try giving her teething tablets in with her formula, it is a homeopathic remedy that works really well, and if they have been up for a long time hurting it helps them sleep..
I had to use this because my youngest doesn't take the numbing oragel well at all.
good luck and congrats on the baby.

Yes she could. I have seen infants having gum pain. Some think in our family that if the tops are wide and flat that it is harder to cut through than if they are more shaped & edged.

Grandson was doing that at birth with both hands. Pediatrician said when he was 2 & 3 mths that he was teething. The teeth didn't come all the way through for along time though.

Yes, she could be teething. Since communicating is limited for babies, it may seem difficult to understand your daughter. You can find inexpensive teething rings (which you can put in your refrigerator to cool) to help with her pain. She could also be showing signs of colic, in which case you may need to see a trusted doctor. With colic she can become very irritable and cry a lot. Colic (according to definition) can cause severe abdominal pain. I suppose it is the same for babies as it is for adults. Your daughter may have a "gas" build up and her body can't/won't flatulate. Get her checked out so you will know what her problem may be and can get treatment. I hope the best for the both of you.

My son started teething from about 2 -3 months. He is 9 months now and has four (very shapp - ouch!) teeth! Have a look at the Tish Tash Toys website for lots of fab teethers and more. They also also offer you a 10% discount off your first order if you email to say where you heard about site/discount etc. Free milk tooth holder (handy for you!) with every order too!

Yes, she could. My ex-husband was born with several teeth. Teething is not something that starts at a particular time. My son started at 6 months, but every child is different.

I wouldn't say so, if she crys all the time there could be so many differnet reason why, her milk, gas. My son cried all the time, I believe that when I was pregant I wasn't happy at all. They say the nine months you carry a baby is very important , if you are stressed out and very unhappy it will have something to do with the child you are carring. They are a part of you. Give her lots of love, when she grows up she will just fine, my son is doing great .

She could be teething, but the things you describe are just normal for many babies who *aren't*. If she is teething, she is likely to be teething for a long time; some babies seem to have pain from their teeth for several months.
