Read and then read some more. You can go back in time or visit the future, travel anywhere you like and meet more interesting people then you could ever imagine. There will always be a stack of books you never get to so enjoy the written word everyday and your life will be more rewarding then most. To search everyday for another book is treasure hunting at its best!

So wat if u r a good reader? Its not anything bad its just that u r luck isnt good. Its u r luck that the ppl around u instead of admiring u stop u frm reading.
If u want to know how to shut them up just say:
"Ya ya my brain will screw like urs has frm not even touching books. Infact urs has really fallen out wanna borrow some screws?"
Say this really quick and loud. and make sure that they understand it. But DONOT repeat it. If u r asked to repeat then say
"Just forget it u r too dumb to understand it"
After that make a agressive and hot departure from that place and make sure that u bang the door really hard if there is one.
And yeah reading philosophy of life means that u r a really deep person not like the nuts u r surrounded by. And yeah tell u r xfather to keep his butt from u r business. He is X.

Its not what any of us think.... Its what YOU think!!! if you agree with that garbage that they're saying to you, or allow it, or believe it... all or most of the wonderful things in those books you love will be altered to some degree as well as their meanings. It sounds to me that you may be the only one in the bunch which has/will have a chance for a better life! Keep reading and ignor them!

You surely haven't read enough books because your spelling is ********. I suggest you read more books; in that way, you'll improve your spelling!

With spelling like that, you prove them right. Your brain does appear to be screwed!

Reading compulsively is often a form of escapism. It can be a coping mechanism like smoking, or drinking, or taking drugs. While the pursuit of knowledge and relaxation are honourable pursuits, you might want to ask yourself if you are really trying to cope with the stresses of everyday life by avoiding reality.

Read to your heart's content. I love reading. Reading is the gateway to knowledge. Enjoy. I read a lot, I love books and reading things on the net. Some of the family wished they had my appetite for reading. I think perhaps when people see you read, you make them realised they are not reading enough.

If you read with no sense of vision, then you will be a confused person all your life. Stay away from fiction and trashy non-fiction. If you love philosophy, then read the Bible---it will keep you thinking and investigating for a lifetime. Jesus loves you.

I believe that knowledge is power. I fear any group that wants to ban books or burn them. This goes for both the left and the right. I believe that our greatest freedom in America is the freedom of thought that most people do not exercise.

There are many ways to gain knowledge, reading is only one. If you overly rely on reading for knowledge, you will reflect the ideas of the writers, not your own. I believe we do best when we read, then spend time reflecting and testing.

Alot of stupid ideas look good on paper.

Wrong- reading is a tool to become a wiser person.

However, you need to get OUTSIDE and do some LIVING too...maybe that's what you're family is concerned about.

Read at the beach, get a tan and break a sweat...be a "rennaisance man"
