Okay, well it kind of depends on what book genre you're into. If you're into action, I suggest starting the Alex Rider series. The first book in the series is "Stormbreaker". If your into those girlie kind of books, my friend whose a girl likes to read the "A-list novels" and "Gossip Girl" books. If you're into fantasy, read "Inkspell". If your into humor, read "Happy Kid" or "King Dork". All are good reads (al though i've never read any of the "A-list novels" or any of the "Gossip Girl" books). Enjoy!

Read The city of Ember. That book is so cool. There's also a sequel called the peple of sparks. Look on Yahoo.com for the book if you can't find it.
peace:)

I think a good scary book is "Velocity" by Dean Koontz, a good fiction book is "The Tail of Emily Windsnap" by Liz Kessler, & a good Scholastic story is "Riding Freedom" by Pam Munoz Ryan.
