Simply choosing not to play "the game" is the best way I've been able to achieve success and find happiness. Life is not a competition.

What you are suggesting is to do ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING possible to move on in life. At that rate, you will end up killing someone. You see, the end does not always justify the means. Remember, when you're on your way up and stepping on a lot of heads, you will also meeting them on your way down. And guess waht??? Going down and going up get different treatments.
You have to think about the future. You have to think that personal confort is not all there is to life. How about love? How about kindness? How about helping others? how about fulfillment? You wil never really be happy even when you get to the top eachntime you remember what you did to get there. Best is to get to the top in a fair and square way. That way, you get true fulfillment and happiness, and a lot of respect after you are dead. Afterall, your name lives far longer than you!!!

I believe I have come by my success honestly for the most part - not cheating or hurting others. Hard work and dedication and treating people with respect have worked for me

I lied, cheated and stole to make it to the top just to fell terrible enough to where I wanted to jump from the top.
