Courtney Knight, 26, who witnessed the alleged attack, said in an interview today that Myers was out of control.
"It was disgusting," Knight said. "He was dragging her by the hair and slapping her across the face. She was yelling, 'I'm not going to let you do this to me anymore.'"
Knight said the 6-foot-4 ballplayer dwarfs his wife, who the police report said was 5 feet 4 and 120 pounds
He also pitched the next day.Athletes seemingly break the law on a frequent basis doing stupid or foolish things to put their health or careers in jeopardy -- whether it's Michael Irvin hiding drugs from the police in his car or Sebastian Telfair carrying a gun through the airport.
You couldn't get out of the way of these stories.

How much coverage can it get? It was on ESPN and FOX SportsNet for at least a week. They did two of those Outside the Lines shows on it (one on Myers and one on the overall situation related to Myers).
The Phillies let him pitch because they wanted him to learn that lesson as well (unofficially of course)...did you hear the boos?
Myers is still wrong for what he did but for crying out loud, it got plenty of coverage. By the way (and I'll go look it up next), never even heard of Sebastian Telfair...now that's got to be someone who didn't get enough coverage in my opinion.
