venom is the villian, and tobey maguire is still spider man ( thankgod) and spider man turns black.

Multiple bad guys. Green Goblin, Sandman, Venom.....rumored appearance by a fourth, possibly Lizard or Carnage. If this is true Lizard makes the most sense since Dr. Connors has already been introducced and has a possible role in this one according to IMDB.
There will be a little bit of a love fued between Peter Parker, Mary Jane, and Gwen Stacey. Harry possibly trying to end up with Mary Jane as well. Sounds like they are going to play a lot of love games and emotions in this one.
Rumours of two characters dying, I have my guesses but nothing is certain (my guess is Harry and Auny Mae die but what do I know. I for sure think Harry will die trying to save Parker after abandoning his fathers Green Goblin motives)
They are going with the black spidey suit based on the Symbiote from the moon plot that takes over Parker and eventually leads us to Venom.
Thats all I can think of right now.
If you ask me I think they are trying to cram too much into one film. Venom could be a whole movie in his own right and this could get very sloppy if they focus to much on the love triangle and not developing the character storyline. Lets just hope it all works out.

Not much, sorry. I got a snack quick preview on E! but not too much to reveal the plot. The do the villians: Snadman, played by Thomas Hayden Church, Venom, played by Topher Grace, who has already gotten a rash in the other question boards, Chameleon, I believe played by someobody, and hopefully James Frranco will play Harry Osmond who is the 2nd Green Goblin, or the Hob Goblin to some. I can't wait for this movie. Detail will surface on the net as the year goes by. You'll have to wait for more news.

Venom and sandman are the villains, and yes spidey turns black, but because he picks up an alien symbiote that covers his skin, enhancing his strength and powers.
However the symbiotes often crave adrenaline and therefore run out of control, changing the behaviour and actions of the carrier, which i would assume could happen to spiderman.
