Try the Neutogena Microdermabrasion kit. It'll help exfoliate a lot of that stuff off and unclog your pores. Then use gentle cleansers and moisturizing lotions. Good luck.

The best face scrub for oily skin is no scrub at all. The more you scrub your face, the more oil you strip off, and the more oil your brain tells your skin to produce. So use a mild soap twice a day, and do not wash your face more than that!! At first your skin will be oily. So cover it up with oil absorbing face powder that is also non-comedogenic, which means it won't cause acne (read the label!). After a month or two you will notice that your skin is producing significantly less oil. But if the problem persists, then consult a dermatologist. But stay away from over-the-counter products. Good luck!

Biore's Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser.

It has tiny scrubbing beads in it, perfect for daily use. Although St. Ives is excellent, using that stuff too often will really irritate your skin. This cleanser from Biore's leaves your skin feeling clean, and your pores tight. Also, it won't dry out your skin, but it will keep the oily away.
Biore also has and "Ice" face wash that isn't a scrub, but is formulated specifically to tighten pores and keep shine away. They also have a moisturizer that is especially to keep shine away.

I'm not a Biore spokesperson or anything, but I've found that out of all the drugstore face care lines, Biore is the only one that does the job with out little surprises like a new breakout, or overdrying your skin, or really harmful unnecessary ingredients.

It also has worked for many of my customers...they all come back with good feedback about it.

Try it out!!

While it is technically a mans product....it works GREAT for oily and/or unbalanced skin. I know this because I have it.

Tolsom's "foaming face wash"...good stuff indeed. It's got little Jojoba bead things in it for exfoliation, no soap residue, and it smells a slight bit citrusy.

Only thing is : it can't be bought at regular stores, it's sold through http://www.quixtar.com exclusively.

PS - I DO NOT reccomend the St. Ives stuff that girl mentioned above....the exfoliant particles in there actually scratch the top epidermal layer of skin (which leads to MORE blackheads, not less....especially if you're already prone to them....which I am as well.)

Well, be cautious of the facial scrubs like apricot scrubs and such. Many have irregular shaped pieces that can cause micro abrasions (damage the top layer of skin). There are natural alternatives like baking soda I haven't found any product that gets rid of blackheads other than to squeeze them out and use astringents like witch hazel, a great sun screen with zinc oxide, plenty of water to drink and diet changes. Since zits are caused by overactive sebaceous glands influenced by hormonal fluctuations, good skin care and diet helps. Time helps because this problem usually tends to subside with age.

You know what's a good solution, using elmer's glue as a peel. This gets rid of blackheads wonderfully. You might think that I'm really wierd for insisting this to you but trust me it works! Even my dermatologist confirm this. It's a cheap way to refrest your face. Try this once a week and see how you like it. The directions are as followed: Make sure you wash your face with a good cleanser first. Pat dry and apply the glue with hands or a dedicated foundation brush. Let dry 15-20 min and peel off. Rinse off any residue and apply a toner. (Thank you foxxxydiva
for the directions). And I think the best soap to use to wash your face is olay body soap, it leave your face smooth and soft. Great for acne prone skin.

St. Yves (not sure the spelling) Apricot scrub. There is a regular and medicated. I use Proactiv now and it has worked wonders on my face. I had a very oily acne covered face. Add on to that pregnancy hormones and I didn't want to leave the house. The Proactiv made it better in a week. I'm lucky, they sell it at my mall now.

To bring a clear tone to the skin, use mud masks. Blend 1 teaspoon of raw honey in clay and mix it with water to form a fine paste. Spread the mixture on the face and preserve it on the face for about 15 minutes. To remove the above mixture, rinse the face with lukewarm water. Repeat the procedure for nearly three times a week.

Once or twice a week, apply the mixture of water and limejuice and....
