Since they beat the world champions Brazil, they certainly look like they are going to win the world cup.If, they get through to the finals, they'll probablly face the in form Germany.

Les Francais shall win this Cup without any doubt. Unless the Referees make really bad decisions in favour of the Germans. The French can win against Portugal because their midfield and defense is really strong. The only thing left for France to excel is in their strike force. Thierry Henry did score against Brazil but he is not yet in form. But with Zidane, Ribery, Viera, Sagnol, Makelele and the others they can do well. Besides all these Barthez is yet to be tested to his fullest capability. So you never know.

well, the chances of france for wining the world cup have been increased. france is now coming back to form since after the3 match of spain, brazil took it lightly so brazil lost the most important match. yes france is on the victory track. but i would say germany and italy are not weak teams . they are not brazil to whom they defeat in the same manner in which stupid india beats pakistan in the cricket worldcup but india ain't beat australia .so france don't be in the air italy is also a dark horse , semifinal will tell the whole story of victory of france

yep.. as they had beat the defending champ brazil....... brazil whihc is a greatt..... undefeatable team,,,,,,,,so france has the chances to win the world cup..... but the one thing i wanna say that the deafeat of brazil was very much dissapointing..... if the final palyed between france and brazil then it would be a good final match to watch,,,, but now there is no such team in the competition now,,,,,,,it is one-sided........

Its possible. The competition has tuened into Euro 2006. I'd want France more than any other team to win it now for one simple reason, Zinadine Zidane.

if Zidan will not get a yellow card next match, they might win the cup. I believe France and Portugal are the only teams left for us to enjoy football, I hope one of them will get the cup.
