Nah, the world isn't ending from that....not that modern science would *admit it* if we were about to be smacked by a meteor, now would it? Because that might trigger panic....and/or a loss of control of society, and the powers that be want to stay in control right until the moment we all die. :p
However....I'd watch those humans. A significant chunk of them read something called a "good book" (and *not* _Maximum Ride_, ok?), and really believe these are the End of Days, and that if the world doesn't end soon, that they'll have to make it end....
Just saying, if you want a head's-up, don't watch the sky, watch your neighbors.

I haven't heard anything about a meteor hitting on Friday.
But to answer your question, "Is the world already ending", if the planet is truly a living thing, as some people believe it is, then it has to be ending.
all living things, once they are born, struggle to stay alive, and finally die. Nothing to worry about though, there isn't a thing we can do to save it, only prolong the misery.

The world isn't ending this Friday...People can't predict it...A while back, a movie was made about the end of the world and that was when my dad was growing up...When every war has been going on, people have predicted the end of the world, but it hasn't happened...It's going to happen sometime...Whether or not it'll be in our lifetimes is a mystery.

There is an asteroid that is going to pass by the Earth at a mean distance of 260,000 miles this Friday (thats slightly farther than the Moon). Thats probably what they were talking about. Go to Space.com if you want to learn more about it.

Like the millions/billions of star lights we see in the skies that are from a dead distant past, we are the dead that is yet to come.
No cure, space travel, medicine, armies, political agenda, religion, or amount of money in this world can save us from it.
As sure as young Einstein discovered the theory of relativity (E=MC2), he too has discovered in his dying days (as did so many others going/ gone his way), LIFE=DEATH2.
So, find comfort knowing that any amount of suffering we endure is really a blink in the cycle of the universe we came from and that relief is DEATH!

This whole world is a dream of God. When one dream ends, another dream begins...
The endless cycle of dreams will only end when we wake up finally from this slumber of worldly ignorance .....
