If so, what do you find is the best method for coping with stress in your life? I mean, it's summer, I should be completely stress-free. But trust me, school wasn't my only cause of stress.
So yeah, just if you have any good ways of coping with stress/calming yourself down I'd like to hear them. Thanks

Thank you all for your answers so far, I'll definitely try some of the methods out! Somebody recommended that I sit down and try to analyze where my stress is coming from, and how can it be tolerated/coped with. I think that's what I need to do first.
I will choose best answer tomorrow!!

Yes to both questions. At least with me it did.
I went to counseling (my father had a drinking problem, and couldn't drive. Then he died) I found some books and took time out to read. If you like to read, it's a good way to get 'lost' and forget about the problems in your life for a while. Go sit by a river or lake and listen to the water/waves.

Just so you know I am not a doctor, but I have suffered from depression since I was 6 (I'm now 29) and as I got older I have suffered with stress and anxiety problems to. And yes you can become physically ill with these types of disorders, I get nauseated all of the time and I have daily migrain headaches. I have learned to meditate, I put on some calming music and just let me self relax, I actually had to do that last night. Everyone find there own way of calming them selves down. You have to find something that will work for you. Have you seen a doctor or a therapist? They can help point you in the right direction.
Good Luck

Meditation a half hour a day. Just focus on your breathing to start. Breathe in 5 seconds, hold the breath for 5 seconds, and exhale for 5 seconds. After you get the rhythm down for this, go through each body part and flex it for 5 seconds and then release it for f 5 seconds. Meditation was used by the NASA to help their employees control their stress levels. If stress is causing your problems meditation should help.
Another thing you might consider is that you have acid reflux. I discovered that I had it after working the graveyard shift for 3 years. The acid reflux was so bad that I was actually vomiting and thought that I was pregnant. The headaches come from the acid burning your sinuses.
Regardless, knowing what is wrong with you is the first step to recovery. Go to the doctor and get a check up.

I was getting alot of headaches and those headaches cause nausea. Then my hair starts falling out like crazy...that freaked me out, I was so stressed cause I had so much going on and I was away from family and friends....Anyway, I started out by going to the gym doing some cardio and exercises helps reliefe my stress. Also, going to the beach, spending time on yahoo answering questions. I feel reliefed when I do some shopping, so everytime I got my paycheck I would treat myslef to something.
Try to come up with a program that will help you forget about the stressful things that are going on in your life. Hope you feel better, I know how it feels when one is stressed.

too much stress can lead to depression, so if you are constantly feeling stressed often, its a good idea to have a chat with your doctor.
Headaches are caused by this, i suffer from depresion, and i used to get a lot of bad headaches. Deep breathing can help to reduce stress....exhale fully through your mouth, emptying all air from your lungs, then take a big breath through your nose and repeat as many times as you feel.
It can be difficult to do, but you need to try and not get too worked about things, a book called "don't sweat the small stuff (and its all small stuff" by Richard Carlson might help.
all the best...x

Extended levels of stress can cause many problems including nausea, hair loss, and long term issues with your body.
To alleviate stress in your life it has been recommended that you sit down and examine what is causing you stress. After examining it can you reduce it or get rid of it? If you can do this by all means do it. If you can't? Then find ways of "de-stressing". Yoga and pilates, take a drive somewhere to center yourself, bike riding, listening to music that makes you feel better and not worse.
You can beat the stress monster, but in order to do this you have to pay attention to your life and get rid of the things that don't really matter. This could include friends who intentionally or unintentionally bring you down. Hope this helps???

Yes, all sorts of physical symptoms can be caused by depression and stress (www.depressionhurts.com)
A good way that I can deal with stres is to write in a journal about all the problems I have and the way I would like them resolved and ways I can help them to be resolved. If they can't be resolved than I just write about how they cannot be resolved and that there are some things in life that just have to be accepted.

Over the last five years I had begun to have increasingly withdraw into a downward spiral of depression..
But now with the method I can fully focus my energy and thoughts into a decisive line on how to make my life better constantly. And it works like magic! I'm beginning to attract people to me once again and things have just been looking up since then.

Where's your stress and depression coming from?
Go to the beach, swim, and get reasonable sunshine, without burning.
Sunshine is Food for the body and combats depression, colon cancer, hypertension, and helps keeps bones good via Vitamin D. Don't listen to the people who think sun gives you skin cancer.
Don't drink alcohol at the beach. Iced tea and water.

Yes, a sign of stress/depression is (normally mild) physical illness, though a sign of severity would be when one begins to perceive such illness as a more serious problem than it is.
& I'm coping with stress terribly myself, I'm sorry I can't help you with the coping bit.
